It is my pleasure and honor to WELCOME you….!!!

The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was established in the year 1991 and now having current intake of 60 students for UG Course & 06 students for PG course in VLSI & EMBEDDED SYSTEMS which is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune. The department has been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The department has experienced and well-qualified faculty and supporting staff members with well-equipped laboratories such as Communication, Digital Signal Processing, Microcontroller and Embedded, Microwave, VLSI Laboratories, etc.

Our Department Vision is “To develop technical ability in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering graduates by providing quality education that creates professionals for the benefit of society”. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is a dynamic and exciting area that provides excellent career opportunities in various areas of Technology. The teaching methods go from chalk and talk to ICT tools. To bridge the gap between institute and industry for the high dynamic changes taking place in technology the department has signed MOU with various industries and also having professional bodies like IETE (Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers) Student Forum (ISF) for the overall development of students.

We are committed to give our students an Outcome Based Education (OBE) through outcome based teaching and learning process which provides them an environment to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

NEP 2020 lays particular emphasis on the development of the creative potential of each individual. In view of the same, we have taken steps in the Innovation and Incubation Facilities. We are Encouraging the students to participate in activities conducted by PRISM (Pravara Research, Innovation, Start-up and MSMEs). Institute’s Innovation Council - IIC (IC202014414) has been established in PREC campus as per norms of Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education of Govt. of India in the month November 2021. Based on activities conducted, PREC has received 3-star rating by Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India in year 2021-22. MSME Incubation Center of Pravara Rural Engineering College Loni is established in September 2022 and the institute is recognised as Host Institute (HI) to act as Business Incubator (BI). At PREC, MSME Idea Hackathon 2.0 is organized on 06/12/2022, where total 63 ideas were received out of which 25 ideas are recommended for further processing.

The students of our department are our main asset. We have produced many University toppers and rank holders. The students of our department have also been placed in prestigious firms like Infosys, TCS, Hella Automation, DRDO, Eton, etc. The students are also encouraged to present papers and/or projects. Various value addition courses and workshops are being organized by the department for the benefit of both students and staff. There is a unique teacher –guardian scheme to counsel the students regarding academic and other activities.
