Information Technology (IT) is the world’s fastest growing economic activity. It has tremendous potential to transform resource-based economics to knowledge-based economics. Information services, products and production processes are evolving rapidly. Knowledge engineering is replacing pure data and information oriented engineering. The application and impact of Information Technology is so pervasive that it is affecting issues as diverse as balance of payment, skill development, design competence, mass media reach, and criminal prevention, industrial competitiveness, publication, communication, managerial efficiency and dazzling entertainment but it comes at price less l privacy.
Information Technology is a tool of productivity and efficiency and will lead to better transparency in the functioning of the administration, with its appropriate use the governance can be made highly effective and worker-friendly, contributing to the standard of living of the people. Internet is becoming widespread, popular and electronic commerce is going to be the way the world will do business in future. Entirely new ways will evolve by which future organizations will function.

Identifying the need of IT Industries, the college has started a 4 year degree course in Information Technology Engineering in 2001. The department has eminent faculties on the teaching job. The department offers industry need based courses during the four years of their studies. The department conducts the value addition programs, short term courses and various training programmes in advanced technologies, industrial visits to various reputed organizations. Department also organizes various Tech programs, cultural and Sports during the academic year.

The Department of Information Technology is organized number of workshop, seminar like one day seminar on Multidimensional Approach to Network Security” at university level, Sponsored by university of Pune, Pune. The department has organized two workshops and one seminar in last year. There are total 06 papers are publish and presented in journals and international conferences.


Information Technology is having well equipped Computer labs with latest Computers like i3, i5, i7, processors with 2 GB RAM. Labs are connected with Campus wide network of Computers with 10/100 Mbps Backbone. All Laboratories having IBM Servers with Windows 2012, LINUX, WIN NT, Novell 5.1 operating systems.


High Speed Leased line Internet facility is available and all terminals are connected to Internet. Free Internet facility to students is available even after college hours through WI-FI system.
Our Last year Result of S.E., T.E. and B.E are 89%,91 %,100% respectively

Exam and Higher Education :

The number of student has secured more score in competitive Exams like MBA/CET/CAT/GATE/GRE/TOEFEL / IELTS. Five students secured valid gate score and eight student secured high score in MAT examination. Other than these four students are went for higher study in M.S. abroad place.

Industrial Training and Placement:

In last year six numbers of students had done industrial training at different reputed industry. From last batch five students in Wipro BPO and two in persistent system are recruited.

  1. To foster logical thinking and writing abilities by providing applied mathematics, computer mathematics, logic and computer hardware basics as basic subjects of natural science and technology.
  2. To foster international communication skills by providing language and technical English classes.
  3. To foster algorithm, computer system and information system design abilities through basic computer theory classes, programming exercises, and computer system experiments.

  5. To educate information processing expertise systematically through lectures and experiments on computer systems and software
  6. To foster practical expertise and self-learning ability to respond to changing times.
  7. To foster the ability to think about the natural sciences and society, engineering ethics, and welfare in a networked information society through liberal arts, information ethics, and information and vocation classes.
