Department of Civil Engineering was established since the inception of Pravara Rural Engineering College in 1983. Since then it has become a hub for various Civil Engineering activities under Pune University. The department is also running post graduate course in Structural Engineering since 1994.The department has the state of art laboratories and test house to cater to academic, research, consultancy needs. The department is supported by dedicated, dynamic and experienced faculty members.  Department is also doing Third Party Technical Audit Consultancy work of constructions carried out by Nagar Panchyat.

MISSION

To prepare students to hold authority in Civill Engineering, pursue their education through advanced study & endow to the betterment of society.


GOAL
-

  • To impart strong knowledge of fundamentals to the students so that they can be good practicing engineers.
  • To teach student basic concepts, knowledge through experimentation, scientific literature & prediction of system behavior by models & simulations.
  • To develop overall personality, inculcate team spirit & capability of shouldering responsibility of nation building. 

 

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  1. Students should be able to practice Civil engineering in all Subjects of the branch by judiciously exploiting locally available resources without causing any adverse effect to the environment.
  2. Students should peruse higher studies and involve in research activities.
  3. They should continue learning to remain effective professionals in their workplaces.
  4. Students should demonstrate their ability to deal effectively with ethical and professional issues, taking into account the broader societal implications of civil engineering.

 

Program Specific Outcomes (PSOs)

  1. The students should have ability to apply basic concepts, knowledge through experimentation, scientific literature so that they will be successful in industry, government and academia.
  2. The students should improve their overall personality; inculcate team spirit & capability of practicing in Construction and Consultancy Industry.
